Access to Ft. Jackson can always be done at the main gate (Strom Thurmond Boulevard) by producing a valid drivers license, current insurance card & vehicle registration card. A more efficient way on to Ft Jackson is to get a vehicle visitors pass as outlined below. With the visitors pass sticker you only need to show your picture ID and can use any gate.
Hours are: Mon thru Fri. 0830 to 0430. Closed for lunch 1230 to 0200.
We are again required to pick up our vehicle stickers at the Strom Thurmond bldg. You will need to print and take a current *JFA club roster with your name on it to the Strom Thurmond building located at Jackson Blvd. As you enter the fort at the Forest drive gate, go to the second traffic light. The Strom Thurmond building is on the right. As you go in the door facing Jackson Blvd., go all the way in to the hallway and turn right, the vehicle registration is marked and is on the right hand side of the hallway. Tell them that you are with the Jackson Flyers and wish to pick up a visitors pass.
Required items; Drivers license, vehicle registration, proof of insurance card, vehicle authorizing letter, & the current roster.
